ADRIATIC PEARLS (10 days / 9 nights)

ITINERARY

DAY 01 – Ljubljana / Bled Arrival of the group to Ljubljana airport. With immense natural beauty, Bled, together with its surroundings, ranks among the most beautiful alpine resorts, renowned for its mild, healing climate and thermal lake water.

DAY 02 – Bled

Today’s day we will dedicate to Bled – the lake, the island and the castle above the lake. Around noon you will have some free time for lunch and later you can choose to go for the optional visit of Ljubljana/Slovenian capital city or stay at Bled for a relax afternoon. In the evening after all the visits or free time we will gather in the hotel lobby and leave for a traditional dinner in the nearby city of Radovljica.

DAY 03 – Bled / Postojna Caves / Zadar After beakfast leaving Bled and Apline Slovenia and visiting the underground of Slovenian magnificent Carst in Postojna Caves. After seeing the wonders of nature we have our lunch and then we continue towards Croatian Adriatic coast. Arrival to Zadar; a short walk through the city, dinner and overnight follows.

DAY 04 – Zadar / Split / Dubrovnik After the breakfast we leave Zadar and head towards the capital of Dalmatia – Split. Visit of Split with some free time for lunch follows and then we continue along the amazing Adriatic coast towards another pearl of the Adriatic – Dubrovnik. Dinner in the hotel and overnight follows.

DAY 05 – DubrovnikPearl of the Adriatic Today we are visiting the shiniest of all the Adriatic pearls – Dubrovnik. We will dedicate the whole day to this magnificent city. After guided sightseeing free time for lunch and Dubrovnik shopping on your own. Dinner in the city of Dubrovnik and overnight in our selected hotel.

DAY 06 – Dubrovnik / Mostar / Sarajevo We are leaving Adriatic coast this morning and we head towards marvels of our only Muslim country in the heart of Europe – to Bosnia and Hercegovina – we head towards Mostar first. After the visit of Mostar and free time for lunch we leave Mostar and head to Sarajevo. Dinner in the local restaurant in Sarajevo and overnight.

DAY 07 – Sarajevo / Plitvice National Park After the breakfast we visit Sarajevo and its most important monuments. After the guided visit some free time for shopping and lunch. When we finish with all the activities we continue in the afternoon towards north/western Bosnia and Hercegovina – towards Kostelski buk – where our hotel for this night is waiting for us. Dinner in the hotel and overnight.

DAY 08 – Plitvice National Park / Zagreb After waking up in pure nature of Kostelski buk we are heading towards the most beautiful national park in Croatia. We will take a long walk all around the park and after finishing the visit the lunch follows and the drive to the Croatian capital city Zagreb. Dinner in the hotel and overnight.

DAY 09 – Zagreb After breakfast our local guide will take us around Croatian capital and explain to us all the mysteries and show to us all the beauties of the city. We will also have some free time for lunch and shopping in the Croatian capital. In the afternoon you can choose an optional tour or free afternoon for shopping. Dinner in the city’s traditional restaurant follows and last overnight in Zagreb on this tour.

DAY 10 – Departure for home And our farewell is here. We will have to say goodbye for this time and of course invite you to visit us again sometime.

ITINERARY

DAY 01 – Ljubljana Airport / Bled

After the arrival to Brnik airport… the transfer to Bled and accommodation to the hotel will follow. Later in the afternoon you will be introduced to the Slovenian Pearl – Lake Bled with its castle. We will enjoy the most beautiful view from the castle and row to the only island in Slovenia in a special wooden boat called “Pletna”. During the row prepare your wishes to ring the “WISHING BELL” in the church on the island. On the island you will also have the opportunity to taste the typical Slovenia pastry – POTICA.

DAY 02 – Bled / Vintgar / Radovljica / Kropa / Bled

We will start the day with a pleasant walk through a beautiful gorge called VINTGAR. After a nice walk we are going to Radovljica for a closer look into the heritage of Slovenian beekeeping. After a nice lunch, short drive into the history of the area. We will go off the beaten track to the village of Kropa, a settlement with a centuries old tradition of ironworking and blacksmithing.

DAY 03 – Triglav National Park / Vršič / Soča Valley – “Slovenian Toscany” – Hills of Brda

After breakfast we will depart towards Triglav National Park. After a scenic drive along the Julian Alps and passing Slovenias highest mountain pass Vršič we will arrive to Trenta Valley. You will be impressed by the beauty of the mountain peaks and the emerald color of the Soča River. Lunch in the famous culinary house in Kobarid and visit of the best War museum in Slovenia. Scenic drive to Slovenian most famous vineyard area – Goriška Brda will follow.

DAY 04 – Brda / Vipava Valley / Portorož

After breakfast we are ready to get to know another unique Valley of Slovenia – Vipava Valley.

Next stop – for lunch at local Tourist farmhouse, where they prepare excellent dishes and let the food speak for itself.  We will have a visit to the property and of course an exquisite lunch. Short drive to Portorož and accommodation in the best hotel on the Slovenian coast.

DAY 05 – Portorož / Slovenian Coast / Piran

Fifth day we will dedicate to Slovenian coast and its unique places. First we will be impressed by the entrepreneurship of Slovenian fishermen – family Fonda. After the lunch we will return to the hotel to enjoy this afternoon a bit of its amenities – wellness & spa, swimming pools etc… And for the dinner we will invite you for a walk through picturesque Piran. The town of Piran surrounded by a circular wall developed at the top of the peninsula. We will discover its medieval architecture, mainly influenced by Venetian Republic.

DAY06 – Portorož / Postojna cave / Predjama Castle / Ljubljana

After the breakfast we will still have some free time to enjoy in a relaxing walk along the coast or to take a swim or a massage. One of the »must see« sights in Slovenia.. this is of course Postojna Cave. So we will visit the greatest tourist attraction in Slovenia the popular Postojna Cave. It is the best known cave in the world and has already attracted more than 34 Million visitors in 200 years. We will admire stalactite and stalagmite forms and creations from the small train and also on foot. In Postojna cave you will also meet its unique permanent resident the “human fish”. We continue our visit to nearest Predjama Castle, the mysterious 700 years old castle perched up in the middle of a vertical 123-metre high cliff and get to know more about  its  Erazem Predjamski, the famous Slovenian “Robin Hood”. Towards the evening we will arrive to Ljubljana.

DAY 07 – Ljubljana

During our sightseeing we will try to impress you with a stroll along the Ljubljanica river embankment, the Three Bridges and the Shoemakers Bridge which are the city symbols; we get to know better the architect Jože Plečnik and his works like the City Market, National Library, Congress square…. You will get to know more about Old town, Upper town and Prešeren square. Lunch in Velike Lašče. Return to Ljubljana and free time till dinner. Dinner with one of Slovenia’s best chefs. He was cooking with the chefs as Alain Ducas, Ferran Adria etc…

DAY 08 – Departure day

Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
